Pokka is the youngest of our pack. She is a long awaited dream come true. A puppy out of Lotto and Jim. At first I couldn't have even dreamed of a combination like this and now it is true. Pokka is a perfect combination of her parents.
She has inherited features from both of her parents. She inherited her ability to focus and calmness in work from her sire and her independence is clearly from her dam.
Pokka has some guts, already in the whelping box. She just conquered everyone with her personality and strong mind. If she has decided something, she usually keeps her mind.
Even when she was only 5 weeks old she could just leave all the other puppies and run all by herself to the other end of the yard holding her toy tightly in her mouth.
Pokka's personality is complemented with her gorgeous looks and special colouring of coat.
Pokka will mainly be doing agility. We have started training agility slowly.
The idea is to get her to be a bit easier to handle than her dam. Time will tell if we'll succeed.
We are training obedience also for our own enjoyment, but with competitions in mind. I am starting to take a stand that I have to start competing.
The new rules in obedience seem very nice and it is interesting to build them in a bit different way.
We have mostly focused on the heelwork with Pokka, and a bit less on other practices.
Pokka has also seen sheep and started to do a little sheepwork. She is enthusiastic, therefore we will probably be doing this too.
Pokka has lived a life of a free and wild puppy. We've done some clicker-training. She's learned clicker very well and is quite quick to learn with clicker.
She in enthusiastic in offering different reactions and one can she how she thinks.
Pokka is a cheerful pup and it is very rewarding and lots of fun to train with her. She enjoys being outside, running and digging holes.
The very favorite dog in our pack is our white shepherd, Sisu. Pokka licks her friend clean every morning and night. It is also very safe to sleep next to Sisu.
Sire-Jim plays with Pokka, and they play with a very similar tone. Lotto sometimes takes part, but is usually just a target of the play for Pokka. Lotto stands still while Pokka is biting her neck.
There is loads of energy in Pokka, but that is how it should be.
She knows how to draw back to sleep and how to take it easy at home. It is really interesting to see, what she will turn out to be.
