FANNY
Fanny is the leader of our pack. She really is small but mighty.
Fanny has probably always thought that she is remarkably bigger than
she
really is. She has always kept our other dogs in line, but also
unfamiliar dogs no matter the size. She has a large ego.
Fanny is bred by me. I wasn't planning on keeping her, but after some
twists and curves and difficult decisions she stayed home.
We did mainly agility with Fanny. She has respectably gained the title
of Finnish agility champion (FI AVA) and won Finnish Championship gold
in HSKH- national agility team. Fanny was a legend in
agility-fields. Even though her small body, height of 20cm and weight of 3,5kg, couldn't challenge
everyone and she gave odds for others with her short
legs. Fanny had problems with contacts. She thought
the higher you could jump down the better. But she did those clean runs
too, and when she did she was awesome! Fanny was able to easily jump
high. Sometimes she jumped those maxi-jumps just like that for fun.
We also did some tracking (blood) with Fanny, but
this wasn't our kind
of sport so we didn't continue. We also visited a few conformation
shows and gathered three certifications. However, we never took
the usability-test and therefore she never gained the
championship. She is beautiful anyhow.
Fanny has a strong instinct for hunting. She picks up and drives any
tracks. She's also not picky with what to chase. Getting older her
senses have weakened and she can now run off the leash.
I decided not to use Fanny for breeding when her dam had a couple of
mild episodes of intervertebral disk disease. Luckily Fanny herself has
been very healthy her whole life if a couple of accidents are left out
of count.
